About

Hi, I am Chad Reynoldson, a freelance control systems programmer. I had most recently worked at AMX Corporation from September 1996 through November 2005 in the Professional Services Group. I began as an entry level programmer and worked my way up to principal programmer for the group. Myself and my friend, Rob Ward, actually wrote the very first netlinx program.

Previous to my work at AMX, I had worked at Ancha Electronics in Dallas. I started out there as an installer. I took some night courses in AutoCAD and moved into that role. After that, I took some additional night courses in C and VB so that I could begin working on AMX development. Finally I moved into an A/V design role and was a lead designer.

I had received an associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from SECC Milford . After leaving college, I took a job as a service tech with Electronic Contracting. While there, I helped on a project at the Nebraska state capital, where I had seen these black and white touch panels from AMX. On that day in 1990, I didn’t know it, but I had found my calling. Every career step I took from that point has placed me in the position I am today, as a leader in A/V technology.

I have programmed many systems in many vertical markets in the audio/video/control industry. As a principal programmer, the most complicated projects would be directed to me. I was also assigned to assist engineering with netlinx code and XML/XSL development for various products.

While at AMX, I developed and maintained an intranet website for the Professional Services Group. This website was a central project tracking tool used by the group.

I left AMX to relocate my family closer to home in Lincoln, Nebraska and started my new business, Reynoldson Control Inc. I now provide control system programming, design, UI development, project management, and on-site commissioning as an independent AMX programmer.
