Textile pre-formatting
7 April 2008, 07:47 by Chad Reynoldson
I implement code fragments in textpattern and I always struggle with the textile markup for pre-formatting to get it to display right.
I had previously tried unsuccessfully to get the <pre>add code here</pre> to work, but it formatted incorrectly most of the time. I finally stumbled upon the pre.. markup tag that seems to work the best. The trick is to add a space between the pre.. tag and the actual content pre.._space_Content here.. It seems to work every time.

New website is up
2 February 2007, 16:41 by Chad Reynoldson
Here it is, the newly completed website. It has been a lot of fun and quite a learning experience.
I scoured Open Web Design for templates and decided on Simply Business 3 by i-designz. I am very happy with it.
I also did a lot of work on the backend with Textpattern. I am finally feeling more comfortable with it and I believe it is a good cms. I looked seriously at switching to another cms, but felt it was in my best interest to continue to grow with textpattern.
Finally, I have to give credit to Sonspring. I scoured the site and learned a lot about TXP tags. I always struggled with blog archives and navigation. I think his solution using the sortable TXP table is great.
I also took the plunge and finally upgraded to Textpattern 4.0.4. I’ve done more behind the scenes and I hope you enjoy it.
I plan to move the blog in a new direction. I’m going to start blogging about A/V control equipment. I hope you can learn something from my experiences that I wish to share with you.

TXP Customization
23 October 2005, 16:41 by Chad Reynoldson
It’s been a full weekend working on this TXP customization to get this website more of a corporate feel. TXP is starting to grow on me. There is a steep initial learning curve, but I am navigating through my problems more efficiently.
