AMX Control for BSS Soundweb London

I’ve been writing code for the BSS devices since the old days of the original Soundweb. They can be an intimidating device to integrate into a control system. The learning curve is perhaps the largest for any device that I know of.
I can help you with your AMX to BSS integration. Give me a call, I’m available. I like the product and I’ve been up the learning curve many times.

BSS has it’s own AMX module and export feature, but I could never quite understand how to use it. So one day I put the London on the bench to conquer it once and for all.
I did create a very nice piece of code that includes: gains, n-input gains, source matrix (up to 96×96), and source selectors (up to 96×1). It uses two way control and updates automatically. It’s fun to watch a bargraph on a touch panel follow as you adjust the slider from the laptop.
The device can generate a lot of traffic, so I always tell people to avoid putting it on the #1 232 port of an integrated controller. In case you didn’t know it, that #1 232 port shares it’s uart with the axlink communication link. So with heavy data traffic devices it’s best to put it somewhere else, or shut off axlink with ‘AXOFF’.
